Part documentary and part twisted tale of a theater company's failed attempt at remaking Ingmar Bergman's Persona in virtual reality. With humor and existential poetry the two directors let their different personas tell a story about a naive pursuit of authenticity in the shadow of a white male genius. They move through contemporary and outdated forms of visual media in search of words of truth and moments of pure feeling but find none. As parenting, failing technology and copyright issues come in the way of art, maybe accepting your shortcomings is the only way to be original.
