Bombina Bombast is an award-winning performing arts company that since its start in 2011 has carved out a field of their own in which performance, art and technology are deeply intertwined – a place where stories are rooted in the nonsensical moments of today and where nothing is impossible.

With a base in Malmö, under the artistic direction of Emma Bexell & Stefan Stanisic, the company has over the course of a decade transformed from a "fringe" operating from a light- and resource-deprived basement locale to running a company with a team of collaborators from their own studio (that also houses a black box) counting over 60 original works for stage and screen, and being granted with regional operational support securing their longevity in the field, as well as earning a reputation as pioneers within all of their fields of operation; performing arts, VR and video design. Working across a myriad of disciplines and collaborating with local and international practitioners and experts from these separate fields, Bombina Bombast cements the pivotal role a performing arts company can hold in contemporary society.
